Nov. 19, 2008 (World News Trust) -- We just concluded
an election in which both parties talked about hope, one more so than the
other. Hope, that murky,
undefined belief that some unknown force, perhaps Jesus,
or modern science, or some great political leader, or other -- as yet unknown force
-- will reverse our national or personal condition... will deliver us from what every bit of
evidence indicates is irreversible, if not politically, then ecologically: Decline
and eventual collapse. There is quite a difference between hope and
understanding the facts, then holding justified optimism. Hope is magical
thinking, a sucker's game. Politicians the world 'round fully understand this.

in recent years because scientists have censored their funding requests
in response to political controversy, according to a study published on

Nov. 18, 2008 (World News Trust) -- I
have come to a decision. In a move that will no doubt come to a
shock to those who know me, and admittedly that is a small circle, I
am joining the Republican party.

“One of the good things about everything
being so fucked up—about the culture being so ubiquitously
destructive -- is that no matter where you look -- no matter what your
gifts, no matter where your heart lies -- there's good and
desperately important work to be done.” --Derrick Jensen

Nov. 14, 2008 -- (World News Trust) -- There

chance at getting elected.

Nov. 15, 2008 (Truth To Power) -- The bottom line is profit. Profit and the lust for it is capitalism's event
horizon. Much like what happens at the boundary of a black hole ("boundary of a black hole" is roughly what the term "event horizon" means in the theory of general relativity) any energy, information or meaning that passes the threshold of a consciousness driven by profit disappears into the super-gravitational field of the black hole itself -- never to be seen or heard of again.

Public announcement GEAB N°29 -- Nov. 17, 2008 (LEAP/E2020) --
The G20-meeting held in Washington on November 14/15, 2008, is in its
essence a historical indicator that the Western -- above all Anglo-Saxon
-- monopoly on global economic and financial governance, is coming to an
end.

Nov. 17, 2008 (World News Trust) -- The G-20 came to Washington for the weekend and sucked all the air out of the city before announcing that they were really serious
about patching all the leaks in the foundering ship of globalism. Well,
they have to at least pretend that they are doing something. Meanwhile,
the former bit player known as reality has taken center stage in the
ship's main lounge. It is putting on an act even gnarlier than the Kit
Kat Klub show in Cabaret.

11/14/07 22:00 WASHINGTON (AP) — Threats against a new president historically spike
right after an election, but from Maine to Idaho law enforcement
officials are seeing more against Barack Obama than ever before. The
Secret Service would not comment or provide the number of cases they
are investigating. But since the Nov. 4 election, law enforcement
officials have seen more potentially threatening writings, Internet
postings and other activity directed at Obama than has been seen with
any past president-elect, said officials aware of the situation who
spoke on condition of anonymity because the issue of a president's
security is so sensitive.
